We are currently developing a truly beautiful alternative to single-use paper cups. Built to the highest standards with only the most sustainable materials, this minimalistic to-go cup will last as long as you want it to.
Coffee is an essential part of our culture. As a morning ritual, a means to concentrate or to bring people together, coffee is everywhere. Unfortunately as well are the paper cups coffee is often served in. While the pleasure of drinking coffee only lasts for a few minutes, the cups stay around much longer. After a single use they end up in landfills or in nature, as they are impossible to recycle.
A lightweight ceramics body and a lid made from either wood or recycled cork.
Developed by Sarah Klein in cooperation with ecosign the design is critically acclaimed.
The lid is coated in natural rubber making it hygienic and spillproof.
Produced and distributed by the Clean Ocean Project from Fuerteventura.
1.000.000 single-use paper cups end up in landfill every minute.
(Hanna, Jim, www.oneearth.org, April 2012)
The typical single-use paper cup is lined with polyethylene and has a plastic lid.
Just one in 400 single-use coffee cups are recycled even if you put them in recycling bin.
We would be very honoured if you spread the story of the Clean Coffee Mug. We can send you a press kit with images and texts. Just drop us a few lines what you plan to do and we'll get in touch.
